On July 1st, the 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡, in collaboration with the Department of EEE-AUST, IEEE WIE Affinity Group AUST SBC and IEEE PES AUST SBC, successfully hosted the 4th session of the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, titled: “𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝟐.𝟎 – 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚” This session was held in remembrance of Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahim Mollah Sir, a figure of great respect and inspiration. It began with a one-minute silence in honor of the July Martyrs, commemorating the sacrifices made during this significant month.

The session commenced with an inspiring opening speech by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀.𝐊.𝐌 𝐄𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦, (Counselor, IASB). Our keynote speaker, 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐙𝐨𝐡𝐚, Assistant Attorney General, Bangladesh Crimes Tribunal, then took the stage and addressed one of the most pressing issues of our time — cyber extortion and online blackmail.

He shared several real-life case studies and explained how such crimes are executed, showcasing a live demonstration of the entire process. Participants were highly engaged throughout the session. He also discussed cyber safety guidelines and encouraged everyone to take proper action whenever faced with online threats.

Following this, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐁𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐚 (Head of the Department, EEE) and our Honorable Vice Chancellor 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞 shared their thoughts, praising the organizers and the speaker for such a powerful and impactful event.

To conclude, a token of appreciation and souvenirs were handed over to our respected speaker, followed by a group photo capturing the memories of this successful event.
