This event will shed light on how a tiny, minuscule force is making a profound impact on the fields of health, energy, and the environment, driving remarkable changes in the world.
This event will be jointly organized by Committee for Advanced Studies and Research (CASR), AUST, Center for Nanotechnology, AUST, IEEE APS-MTT Joint Chapter, Bangladesh and IEEE SPS and IEEE ComSoc Joint Student Branch Chapter, AUST
The keynote speaker, Dr. Jamal Uddin who is a distinguished professor at Coppin State University and founder and also the director of the Center for Nanotechnology, has been teaching chemistry, physical science, environmental science, and nanotechnology since 2005 in the Department of Natural Sciences. His pioneering research focuses on solar cells, nanotechnology, and advanced materials such as graphene, quantum dots, and more, addressing key issues in clean energy, nanomedicine, and energy storage. Dr. Jamal Uddin is a two-time Wilson Elkins Professorship awardee and was recognized as “Innovator of the Year” in both 2011 and 2016. He has published extensively in prestigious journals like With over $5.1 million in research funding from NSF, DOE, and MIPS, his contributions span critical areas like climate change and energy solutions. He also serves as the corresponding secretary of the AAUP at Coppin State University, Maryland chapter, and is an active member of several professional societies, including ACS and ASES.
In the event, cutting-edge advancements in nanotechnology will be explored, with a focus on its transformative impact on clean energy, health, and environmental sustainability. Groundbreaking research on nanomaterials and their wide-ranging applications will be showcased, highlighting their potential to drive innovation across various industries.
