On 4th May 2025, 𝗜𝗘𝗘𝗘 𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 had the honor of hosting the Farewell Ceremony of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗾 𝗔𝘇𝗶𝘇 sir an unforgettable event filled with deep appreciation, emotion, and respect. Though it was a day of farewell, we came together to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of a teacher, guide, and mentor who has touched countless lives during his journey at AUST.

The program began with heartfelt words from our IASB Counselor Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Ehtesanul Islam Sir, followed by Mentor Adnan Quaium Sir, shared how Tareq Aziz Sir has always been a strong pillar of support for both students and faculty. PES Advisor Dr. Taskin Jamal Sir, reflected on their shared experiences and how Sir’s dedication to teaching and collaboration was unmatched. The presence of almost all the faculty members from the EEE Department made the event even more special. Those who are currently abroad sent video messages expressing their love and respect for Sir, which were compiled and presented during the ceremony. Watching these messages moved Sir and all of us deeply. It was a touching reminder of how far his influence has reached.

The ceremony ended with a beautiful speech from our Honorable Vice Chancellor Sir, who shared his own reflections on Tareq Sir’s legacy. He rightly said that Sir has been the heart of the EEE Department at AUST whose absence will be deeply felt and whose presence can never truly be replaced.

As a small gesture of our appreciation, we presented a crest and some gifts to Sir, followed by a cake cutting and light refreshments for everyone. All IEEE Executive Committee members worked together to ensure the event ran smoothly and respectfully.

From the entire IEEE AUST Student Branch family, we sincerely pray that wherever life takes Tareq Aziz Sir, it brings him peace, joy, and continued success. His teachings, values, and legacy will forever remain with the AUST EEE Department and in the hearts of every student and colleague he inspired.
