IEEE was founded in 1884, at a time when electricity started to have a significant impact on society. The telegraph, a significantly established electrical business, had been able to connect the world with a data communications system quicker than the pace of transportation since the 1840s. Just starting up were the telephone, electric power, and light industries.
The largest technical professional society in the world is IEEE, a group whose mission is to advance innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity. It is intended for professionals working in all facets of the electrical, electronic, and computing industries as well as allied sectors of science and technology that form the basis of contemporary civilization.
IEEE has 344 Sections in ten geographic Regions worldwide. 2,702 Chapters that unite local members with similar technical interests.
IEEE Region 10 is one of the ten regions of the Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a global professional organization for
engineers in the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering
referred as the Asia Pacific Region and created on 1st January, 1967. IEEE
Region 10 has a large membership base, with more than 100,000 members, and
it is responsible for organizing numerous conferences, workshops, and
technical events in the region. At present Region 10 consists of 57 Sections,
6 Councils, 17 Sub-sections, 515 Chapters, 60 Affinity Groups and 958
Student Branches. It covers a geographical area stretching from South Korea
and Japan in the north-east to New Zealand in the south, and Bangladesh,
Pakistan in the west. With a membership of over 107154, it is one of the
largest regions in IEEE. At present Chun Che Fung, Lance is the IEEE R10
Director.

The IEEE Bangladesh Section is the local chapter of the Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in Bangladesh. The IEEE
headquarter in New Jersey approved the Bangladesh Section on 20th November
1993 and the GEO code is R00073 and has since then been involved in
promoting the advancement of technology in the country. From only 54
founding members, IEEE Bangladesh Section has now grown to a family of over
2300 members. With 42 Student Branches, 9 Society Chapter and 2 Affinity
Groups and their activities it has become one of the most active sections
not only in Region 10 but also all over the world.

The IEEE AUST Student Branch Geo Code – STB63101 is the only international and professional student organization at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has been successful on national and global scales since it started operation in 2004. The organization focuses on promoting creativity, fostering ingenuity, knowledge sharing, and professional growth among engineering students and has become the fourth student chapter nationwide and the first at a private university. We have been working for almost 2 decades to provide members with opportunities to advance and succeed in their professions and plan to continue this in the future.
IEEE AUST Student Branch is a student branch of the IEEE Bangladesh Section under Region 10.
In the IEEE AUST student branch, we have 3 societies and 1 affinity
group

The old logo was a composite integration of two different insignias:
the
IEEE emblem on the left and the AUST emblem on the right. To ensure a
seamless and cohesive visual representation, the IEEE logo underwent a
slight distortion, and the letterings of the acronym, “IEEE”, were
compressed.
As stipulated in Section 6.3.2-C of the IEEE Policies, it is prohibited to
include the precise form of the IEEE Logotype or the Diamond-shaped emblem
in the logo of an organizational unit.
The IEEE AUST SB’s former logo contravened this rule in the IEEE Master
Brand policy, necessitating a redesign to comply with the rules.
High emphases were given so that the logo should
• Embody modern thinking and legacy of IEEE AUST Student
Branch.
• Be meaningful and symbolic.
• Possess a distinctiveness that enables effortless
association with the branch.
• Have an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
• Be indelibly memorable, capturing the attention and
imagination of viewers.
• Exhibit an alluring visual quality on both light and dark
backgrounds.
• Remain readily recognizable even when represented in a
monochromatic format.
The new official logo of AUST IEEE Student Branch, designed by Shaer
Ahmed
(Vice Chair, IEEE AUST Student Branch, 2017-18).
The logo was publicly revealed on August 6, 2017, during the event
“Rethinking IEEE AUST Student Branch”.
The logo is separated into two parts:
• The Emblem
• The Logotype
DIMENSIONS
THE EMBLEM:
The emblem is comprised of two rhomboid shapes, with the larger of the
two
in a blue hue encompassing the inner green rhombus, delineated by a white
space.
The central region of the green rhombus contains an open book, rendered in a
white hue, with a gentle shadow effect cast upon the background.
THE LOGOTYPE:
The logotype consists of two distinct lines that are separated by an orange
horizontal line.
The lettering for “IEEE AUST” is presented in Serif typeface in order to
emphasize the branch’s established legacy and rich history.
In contrast, the word “Student Branch” is presented in Sans Serif typeface
to represent the branch’s modern, forward-thinking ethos and ongoing pursuit
of growth and advancement.
COLOR PALETTE:
The colors used in the logo play a significant role in capturing the essence
of the branch. The blue color used in both the rhombus and the “IEEE” word
to represent the association with the IEEE organization.
The white coloration within the rhombus is intended to reflect the guiding
principle of IEEE, “Advancing Technology for Humanity”.

The Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) was founded by
the Dhaka Ahsania Mission in 1995. Dhaka Ahsania Mission is a non-profit
voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The Mission was established in 1958 by
Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an outstanding educationist and social reformer of
undivided India. With his own vision of a better society, characterized by a
wealth of moral and spiritual values of the highest humanism that are
universally acclaimed through ages and manifested in every sphere of life
social, economic and cultural; and access to education and resources, he
established the Mission. His remarkable educational reforms include among
others introduction of roll number system in the public examination and
creating equal opportunity for education of all groups of people in the
society.
Besides, he has contributed to the society by writing a large number of
books covering a wide range of areas from human and social life, history,
human development, literature, religion, biography, moral values etc.Though
initially charity and welfare activities were the major focus of the Mission
agenda, it has expanded its arena of activities leaning towards sustainable
development strategies with the passage of time since early 1980s.
Hazrat Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah(R) M.A., M.R.S.A., I.E.S. (1873-1965), was the Assistant Director of Public Instruction for Bengal And Assam Provinces of undivided India (1925-29).
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology was established with the aim to be a premier center of excellence in science, engineering, technology and business by creating and transferring knowledge with human values to the young generations in such a way that they, in turn, could enhance the quality of life in Bangladesh and beyond.
In order to achieve its vision, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology is engaged in developing human resources in the fields of science, engineering, technology and business to meet the ever-changing needs of the society in the perspective of the highly complex and globalized world. The curricula of the university are designed to produce quality graduates imbued with the spirit of ethical values and equipped with knowledge and skills appropriate to their professional fields. AUST graduates are taught and trained to accept the challenges in their arena of jobs and to contribute meaningfully to the society and overall development of the country.
