The NLDC is responsible for real-time monitoring, control, and coordination of Bangladesh’s power system. Its key objective is to ensure balanced power generation and consumption, maintain system stability, and prevent grid disruptions. Through data collection and analysis, the NLDC optimizes power dispatch and employs advanced technologies for real-time monitoring. It manages power generation schedules, coordinates with stakeholders, and plays a crucial role in upholding grid reliability. Moreover, the NLDC serves as a hub for information exchange and coordination among power sector stakeholders, acting as a vital backbone of Bangladesh’s power sector to meet the nation’s growing energy demands. In parallel, the seminar will explore the usage of UAS in the power utilities of Bangladesh, offering valuable benefits and opportunities. Drones equipped with advanced sensors and imaging capabilities are extensively used for infrastructure inspection, maintenance, and monitoring in the power sector. These UAS enable the efficient assessment of equipment condition, issue identification, and enhanced worker safety. However, challenges surrounding aviation regulations, data security, and airspace management must be addressed. Overall, UAS technology holds significant potential to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a reliable power supply throughout Bangladesh.
