This Webinar is jointly organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering – AUST, IEEE AUST Student Branch, IEEE SPS and IEEE ComSoc Joint Student Branch Chapter.
In this webinar, the discussion revolves around the transformative impact of advanced additive manufacturing technology on the rapid evolution of next-generation wireless electronics. This technological breakthrough facilitates swift prototyping, significantly reduces entry costs, and enables in-house short-run manufacturing, thereby empowering start-ups and companies with confidentiality requirements to drive accelerated innovation. The primary focus lies in the development of high-performance functional meta surfaces, aiming to push the boundaries of future wireless devices. Dr. Yang Yang’s group, at the forefront of this innovation, showcases a pioneering concept of 3D microwave devices utilizing emerging additive manufacturing technologies. The proposed designs, implemented with silver and acrylates inks, mark a novel approach in the microwave and antenna communities. The integration of 3D meta surface designs and multi-material additive manufacturing serves to overcome the limitations of traditional manufacturing, particularly in the realm of compact and cost-effective 3D-printed microwave/millimeter-wave devices.
This webinar session aims to provide a comprehensive guide on how cutting-edge additive manufacturing processes empower startups and businesses for innovation through rapid prototyping and cost-effective production. The focus is on developing high-performance meta surfaces for future wireless devices using small, affordable 3D-printed millimeter-wave and microwave technologies, surpassing limitations of conventional production methods.
In conclusion, the webinar unveils groundbreaking 3D microwave devices, exploring the transformative impact of multi material additive manufacturing and 3D meta surface technologies that will help attendees to gain rare insights into the future of wireless communication from leading specialists in the field.
